It has been said, “A practitioner who possesses the skills to beat OCD can treat any anxiety-related disorder.”

This is because all of the symptomatologic elements — the gears and guts, you might say — that form the diagnostic criteria for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) universally present in the other anxiety-related disorders. And we treat them all at Kentuckiana Treatment Center for Anxiety & OCD.

While there are meaningful diagnostic distinctions between OCD and PTSD say, for example, or between emetophobia and social anxiety disorder, the fact is that the evidence-based treatments for these conditions are far more similar than they are different.

It is certainly not inaccurate to conceptualize all of the anxiety-related disorders as “relatives,” if you will, of OCD. Hence, a practitioner who possesses a practical understanding of, and the skills to beat OCD can treat any related condition.

So what do we treat? We treat clinically significant anxiety, and unwanted, repetitive behaviors.

Over the years we have worked many hundreds of anxiety- and OCD-cases, treating all types, and symptom-dimensions indicative of OCD and the related disorders.

We treat:

  • trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder)

  • excoriation (skin-picking) disorder

  • emetophobia (fear of vomiting)

  • Tourette Disorder (tics)

  • OCD (all subtypes/symptom-dimensions)

  • Panic Disorder (with/without Agoraphobia)

  • Social Anxiety Disorder

  • Specific Phobia

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder

  • PTSD
